Ive seen it in Person in München BMW World. I live near Munich and i see some on the streetd every now and then too. Its ugly AF looks like a fridge from the Front The huge screen is super cinematic okay, but it doesnt belong in a sports car. I tottally dislike it. I couldnt imagine drifting in canyons or driving the Nordschleife with a u huge screen infront of me like that. Id take the F87 over this one any day of the week. And its not that i dislike new BMWs, for example im a fan of the new M3/M4 i dont mind the huge grills, these cars look good to me. Just the new M2 G87 isnt my taste and never will be, for several reasons.

Black and red the only nice standard colors on this model. Period.

Don’t bother messing with the gearbox. The ZF gearbox has been used in many cars including Bentley and Aston Martin. Any change you make will be hardly noticeable but might bugger the gearbox up.

The most ugly BMW to have ever been built! when the Kidney grill came out on the G80 I wasn't keen but they grew on me, now they look sick but....not this dude, these will never grow on me 🤮

I mean i do agree with him, if you spend money on wheels go for a colour that shows the wheel nothings worse then expensive wheels getting ignored because you cant tell they're expensive wheels

Just like everyone I hated the G87 M2 when it first came out. Picked up my BSM G87 6MT February of this year. It really is a car that slowly grows to you.. been enjoying mine very much.

why are bmw fans hating on this? around the same size as an e46, MANUAL TRANMISSION, no big grille, flared fenders like the e30, big horsepower, sure it is heavier than the last m2 but it is so much faster

Black looks best, it hides the hideous rear. The rear ruins it for me. I saw that light blue and from behind I hate it. In person doesn’t matter . It looks terrible in powder blue .

I drove one 3 weeks ago and the front end is ugly. The interior is nice and it’s fast but felt rather boring to drive and felt heavy!

From an M8 owner, I love the M2...its one of the best looking beamers to date. How can you not like the rear and front end. Weird.

A face and ass only a mother could love......"the car designed for $20K to make it look right". :-D Honestly, i still cant choke this down, obviously, it drives amazingly well but it's not one of those cars where i would turn back to look at it after i parked. I think the majority of BMW superfans are backing off of the hard position when this launched, simple because of the performance. Similar to the current M3/M4.

I know it still looks like a Lego, but I may purchase one. I'll 100% wait for the G87 M2 Comp or M2CS version though. Might as well since they're coming out in the next year.

I had an e92 M3 for 11yrs. Skipped the F series. Had to have the mighty S58. I've had my G87 M2 for 1 year and 1 month. Spacers and lowering springs the thing looks sick and is seriously fast. The manual in the G87 is a little better than the my manual E92 M3. The throw is a little shorter. I was skeptical at 1st but when you see it the flesh its mean and purposeful.

I don’t hate the car: with mods it looks great overall, the S58 is an amazing engine, the interior is very nice. But the rear end, the big screen you stare at while driving, how heavy it is for a M2, and most of all how much these will depreciate in the next 5 years. All these things are a really big turn off 🤷‍♂️

I have a black g87. I love it. I never felt this way about the f8x. I agree with your comment with 6mt vs auto. I have 6mt and some times find it annoying that there is some mis match between power band and gear and also engagement of the gear is delayed. But I am 6mt guy so this is my spec.
